U・J・Iターンで河辺町に移住される方が安心してお子さんを通わせられるように、地域住民が積極的に関り、学校を中心とした地域活動が行われるように取り組んでいます。
School Project
学校プロジェクト
We promote the regional activities led by the schools, so that new residents who move in the town by “U・J・I turn”, can send their children to the schools with peace of mind.
趣味で作られている農産物の委託販売を行ったり、学校・地域行事で住民や子ども達と交流することで健康増進・生きがい作りにつながるように取り組んでいます。
Elderly Health Project
高齢者健康プロジェクト
Kawabe-cho provides consignments stores to sell the agriculture products that the elderlies produce as their hobby. It also help them interact with other residents and kids by offering the school and the regional events to promote health and motivation in life.
地域外、国外向けに観光をPRしたり、地域外の子ども達に体験型イベントを楽しんでもらうことで、河辺町の知名度を上げ、交流人口の増加に取り組んでいます。
Regional Promotion Project
地域間プロジェクト
We promote the tourist activities and hands-on activities for kids from other regions in Japan and outside of Japan. This helps increase the recognition of Kawabe and also raise the number of visitors and population.
現在ある特産品にくわえ、新たな特産品を開発することで、移住者の新たな雇用の場の創出や地域の活性化を目指して活動に取り組んでいます。

特産品開発プロジェクト
Kawabe-cho strives to develop new regionally specialty products in addition to maintaining the existing signature products in order to create jobs in the region and promote regional revitalization.
町を流れる河辺川はこの地域に住む人々に多大な恵みを与えてきました。その恵みは豊かな自然であり、その自然の中で育まれた山の恵み、アマゴやイワナといった川の恵み。また、日本では珍しい屋根付き橋に代表される文化や歴史など、人間として心豊かに暮らせる恵み。そして河辺川を中心として造られた町並みは、現在の日本人にとってふるさとを感じさせる風景を生み出しています。
河辺川のブルー、そしてそのブルーによってうまれ、そしてこれからうまれる様々な生命やものをイメージし「河辺でうまれる 河辺のブルース」という言葉に想いを込めました。
The Kawabe River that flow through the town has given great blessing to the people living in this region. The blessing is the abundant nature that produce food from the mountains and food from the river such as Amago (red spotted masu trout) and Iwana (mountain trout). In addition, there is blessing that enables people to live with nourished mind as a human being benefited from the culture such as the covered bridge that is rare in recent years and in history. Moreover, the townscape along the Kawabe River creates sceneries that remind you of your hometown.
Kawabe River’s blue, blue has been giving birth and will continue to give birth to countless life forms. With this thought in mind, the saying “Giving birth in Kawabe, with Kawabe’s blues” was born.
